A message from the Head of School…

I would just like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all our families for supporting the Christmas Fair and attending the Winter Art Show. The school would also like to say a massive thank you to all the Friends of Haxby Road for organising such a magical fair. We are very lucky to have such a dedicated team.

On Friday 20^th December, I will be leaving school to start my maternity leave. In my absence, Alex Winter and Rachel Malster-Hinett (Deputy Head) will be looking after the school. Alex Winter has previously been a Headteacher and currently works for Ebor Academy Trust. Over the next few weeks you will have an opportunity to meet Mrs Winter.

This week our Early Years children were very lucky and got to experience the snow in Forest Schools. The children thoroughly enjoyed this experience.

Polite Reminder

Please can we ask our families not to block the residents’ driveways in Greenfields during drop off and collection. Thank you for your support with this matter.

Christmas Attendance Raffle

Our attendance Christmas prize draw starts on the Monday 9th of December. Every day you attend school on time from the 9th December until Friday 20^th December, you will be entered into a prize draw to win vouchers and prizes.

E.g. 5 days = 5 chances!

The vouchers will be from Asda.  First prize will be a £20 voucher.

Wednesday 11^th December: Year 1-5 Christmas Carol Concert at St Thomas’ Church 1.30pm

Tuesday 17^th and Thursday 19^th December: Early Years Nativity Performance 9.45am in the upper hall.

Wednesday 18^th December: Santa’s Grotto and Reindeers. Please bring £3 if you would like your child to meet Father Christmas and see the reindeers.

Friday 20^th December: Christmas Jumper Day for Save the Children.

Friday 20^th December: 11:15am Christmas Assembly and Winner of Haxby’s Got Talent performance.  Winner of the attendance voucher

School closes at 12 for Christmas.

Friday 20^th December no after school club.
