Haxby Road has been awarded £500 from EMI’s fantastic ‘Music Sound Foundation’, to support our after-school enrichment music classes. In Haxbeaters, all children in years 5 and 6 learn to play tuned percussion with a specialist music teacher. This grant will go towards purchasing more instruments for our groups – so we can make even more noise!
Massive thanks to the EMI Sound Music Foundation and its patrons: Sir Paul McCartney, Yoko Ono, Sir Simon Rattle, Sir Cliff Richard, Diana Ross and Tina Turner. Could the next big star be from Haxby Road – who knows!
