Project Mala

Ebor Academy Trust have a charity they support each year. This year we are supporting Project Mala. The Charity was founded in 1989 as an action programme for the abolition of child labour in the hand knotted carpet industry in India. They provide education for children in the carpet weaving belt. The programme includes education up to secondary school level, hot midday meal for all children and healthcare facilities. The children will be learning about the charity in school. On Monday 4 December, Haxby Road Primary children were busy making cakes and buns to sell at the bun stall, in aid of Project Mala. The school raised £69 and we would like to say a huge thank you to all our families for their support with the project.
